Line and Circle. Texture and Stones.
Designer Vika Mayzel continues to explore the forms that are most characteristic of her work: simple geometric shapes such as the straight line, the circle, its half, and the ellipse. Through these, she visually conveys the concepts that have inspired her while working with metal and stone: incompleteness, wordplay, shifting meanings, and blurred boundaries of perception.
How does the meaning of our experiences change through each of our individual perspectives? How strong is the influence of personal interpretation, not only through emotions but especially through words? Do they change? Distort? Or create something new? And can a lived, historical reality transform based on how we speak about it?
"These are the questions I've been contemplating over the past year. They were sparked not only by global events but also by those happening right around me," says Vika Mayzel.
